What changed on 30 September 2026
Enterprise Singapore states that EDG, MRA and PSG ceased on 29 September 2026, and that from 30 September companies apply for business grant support under the EDGE Grant. EDGE streamlines the three schemes into a single one and is available to all Singapore businesses, including non-SMEs.
Applications and projects already submitted under EDG, MRA or PSG continue to be processed, and claims for them are still submitted on the Business Grants Portal when the project is completed.
| Until 29 September 2026 | From 30 September 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| Scheme | PSG, EDG and MRA, applied for separately | One grant: EDGE |
| Who can apply | Depended on the scheme | All Singapore businesses, including non-SMEs |
| Cap | Set per scheme | Up to S$100,000 a year in total, across all activities |
How much support a company can get
- Up to 70% of eligible costs for SMEs and up to 50% for non-SMEs. Support levels differ by activity.
- Up to S$100,000 in total grant support a year, shared across all activities. The cap is refreshed on 1 April each year.
- Activities are grouped into business areas, including Automation and Digitalisation, Business Strategy, Financial Management, Innovation, Internationalisation, Standards and Sustainability.
Software such as HR, payroll and accounting systems falls under Automation and Digitalisation. That area has its own limit: support received for all Automation and Digitalisation projects combined counts towards an annual cap of S$30,000, within the overall S$100,000. The support level for a specific solution is shown on its Enterprise Singapore page.
Who can apply for Automation and Digitalisation support
- The business is registered and operating in Singapore.
- At least 30% of it is owned, directly or indirectly, by Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
- It has not started work, or made any payment or deposit to a supplier or vendor, before submitting the application.
- Applications are made on the Business Grants Portal with a Corppass account.
How the money is paid
Grant support is disbursed on a reimbursement basis. A claim can be submitted once the activity is completed and full payment has been made. In practice the company pays the vendor in full first and receives the grant afterwards, so the purchase has to be affordable without the grant in the bank.
What to do before buying software with EDGE
- Apply before committing. A company that has started work or paid a deposit before submitting the application is not eligible, so the application goes in before the first payment.
- Ask the vendor for an itemised quotation with unit prices: licence per user, implementation and training per man-day. A lump-sum price is hard to assess against qualifying costs.
- Check the yearly cap position. Support already received in the year from 1 April counts towards the S$100,000.
- Plan the cash flow for reimbursement: full payment first, claim after completion.

Where MUST stands
MUST issues an itemised, unit-priced quotation that you can attach to a grant application, and the free readiness call covers which grants your company can claim.
